To this end, the Bray is continuing a long-standing design relationship with Mosaic Architecture to facilitate an update of the Bray’s master plan. This will consist of a conceptual design for redevelopment of ‘The Pottery’ which includes the education facility, library/research, gallery and administration complex.

The public area of the Bray has traditionally been viewed as the group of buildings and outdoor space that include the existing ‘Pottery’ (classroom and kiln building) built by Archie Bray Sr., the existing office building, the North Gallery and associated out buildings, and the Gazebo and picnic area. With redevelopment of the grounds, the ‘Pottery’ takes on an expanded definition, encompassing the entire complex rather than a single building. Furthermore, ‘The Pottery’ evokes a sense of the goals and mission of the Bray to provide a community space for education and appreciation of all branches of the ceramic arts.
