Full Description

Working with Xanterra and NPS, a second, smaller dorm was designed for the Lake area to replace the older Teal dorm in the same location. The new Teal is a two-story, 27,000 SF employee housing building built for year-round use if needed.
The dormitory includes (5) 1-bedroom apartments and (49) double-occupancy dorm units, laundry facilities, lounge and housing office.

To meet the short construction season and remote location in the park, the building was completed on schedule with a ‘hybrid’ approach to what was learned from modular construction. The foundation was poured in fall 2016 and the site closed up for the season. Over the winter months, the exterior and interior walls and floor framing were built in Helena and Bozeman until the project site mobilized again in Spring 2017.
